I discovered the secret to stop stress the hard way. You will get to cheat and get the easy way.

Someone said that we must manage stress or stress will manage us.

Several hard ways that I tried and failed to stop stress:

  1. Take some medicine. I don’t really remember what I took. I only knew that my doctor told me it would help. Indeed, it did for a few hours while I was sleeping. As soon as I was up, the stress found its way back to me.
  2. See a fortuneteller as I thought that a bad luck caused my stress. I kept coming back to try different things with the fortuneteller, whom was very famous. I burned my hard-earned money only to find out that the fortuneteller was out of the magic power. Indeed, seeing my hard-earned money gone, I was more stressful.
  3. Work harder. This seemed to be the best way I found. As I worked, I didn’t remember the stress. It seemed to disappear by itself. I was a workaholic so working hard was not a problem. The issue was that the stress came back when I was not working.

What worked for me after countless failed attempts was simple. Indeed, you could laugh at me for telling you this secret.

Stress is part of life. It’s a natural response to the demand that we place upon it. The more we try to deal with it, the stronger it becomes.

So here’s the secret that helps take care of my stress without any medicine:

  1. Acknowledge that I am under stress.
  2. Let the stress alone. Don’t even try to poke it.
  3. Serve. Yes, just keep serving.

You can even short-cut to just serve. Yes, serving has that power to stop stress.

P.S. I would love to know what you think about this. Hit your reply button right now and send me an email to tell me what you think.

  1. […] Posted on August 21, 2017August 21, 2017 by Hoan M Do This “a bad job is worse than no job” reminds me of the vicious cycle.   Having a bad job makes you want to quit because it’s bad for your health. However, having no job leaves you with no income and you might end up worrying more. So you will not leave the bad job or take another bad. There are people who keep going from one bad job to another bad job just to avoid the bad job.   This vicious cycle creates the victim mindset. Quitting won’t help for long as with this victim mindset you will enter another bad job and another bad job.   If you tell yourself that you “have to” take this job or “have to” quit this job, you are the victim.   Thinking like an owner, developing the owner mindset will free you from this vicious cycle. With the owner mindset, you own your own destiny. You are responsible for your own life. If you are in a situation that you can’t make a difference, change courageously.   Refuse to be the victim. Then this “a bad job is worse than no job” no longer applies to you.   If you encounter stress, this might help: https://hoanmdo.com/2017/04/18/how-to-stop-stress-without-taking-any-medicine/ […]

  2. Everyone has to find out their own way of dealing with it.Yes I too have been through the same situation but my firm belief in God aways helped me.
